Gil has been married to his lovely wife Mary for 30+ years. They raised 3 children who are now thriving adults. Mary was a Walnut Valley Unified School District teacher for many years at Evergreen Springs Elementary School as well as a substitute teacher throughout the district.
After earning a Political Science degree from Cal State Fullerton, Gil worked for a State Senator in Los Angeles where he learned valuable lessons of negotiating and working with people to achieve a positive outcome for all involved.
After 5 years in the political arena, Gil went to work for his father’s real estate appraisal business. There, Gil gained invaluable experience on how a successful practice should operate.
“I learned so much from my father’s patience, guidance and his kind and honest attitude towards clients,” stated Gil. He continues to operate with the philosophy of treating his clients with Respect, Professionalism and Honesty. It was his wife Mary who encouraged Gil to get his real estate broker’s license over 22 years ago because she knew he was good at working with others to achieve the best results.
Gil earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration 15 years ago which helps him continue to run a successful career in Real Estate Sales and home Appraisals. He works with private Homeowners, Estate Trustees, Lawyers, Investors, and CPA’s who need to know the true value of their homes.
In addition to his successful business, Gil is also a very active community volunteer. He is a long-time board member of the Diamond Bar Community Foundation where he has been a sponsor and fundraiser for the annual Golf Tournament, 5K Run/Walk and Community Gala to assist the Diamond Bar Community Foundation with its mission to support Art, Culture and Recreation in the City.
Gil is also the President of the Board for his local Sheriff Station Booster Club, a role he has held for 10+ years. Community volunteers donate hundreds of hours every month to keep their communities safer and the Booster Club raises funds to pay for their training, equipment and uniforms.
He has been a Board Member of a national Charity for 10+ years where he has helped coordinate the Footprints Walk-a-thon to raise money for people who find themselves in URGENT need of shelter and food.
As an appointed member of the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) for his local City, Gil provided input for over 2 years to guide the City on the Plan for commercial building, residential and open space for the next 25 years.
